A comparison of published U.S. and international chart positions for emerging salsa. Each song shows its score, contributing publishers and evidence status.

Evidence rules and scoring
Two independent, dated publishers. A confirmed result needs at least two independent publishers in its regional calculation. Dura and Romántica count as one NewGenSalsa publisher. A second AI check or a copied chart is not a second source. Single-publisher entries remain provisional.
Comparable periods and disclosed measures. This edition compares October publication snapshots. A publication date is not the period of DJ activity, airplay or streams. Tracking windows and underlying calculations are currently unverified; these positions cannot be presented as confirmed consumption rankings. DJ downloads, radio, streams and editorial selections must be identified separately before any future data is admitted.
Fixed rules and an audit trail. Publish and freeze sources, weights, eligibility and tie-breaks before each new calculation. Policy 2.0 is a retrospective disclosure upgrade to October; the existing weights and order are unchanged. Every position has source links, evidence states and a point breakdown, plus a downloadable audit and dated correction history.
Match the recording and prevent duplicate credit. AI matched all 15 eligible candidates to source titles, artists and ranks. Exact versions/ISRCs remain pending, so none is fully confirmed. Artist, title and version form the identity; named remixes and live versions stay distinct. Repeated rows and DJ edits cannot add multiple votes for one recording. Ambiguous matches remain provisional or are held out.
AI checks with no commercial preference. Compilation and checking are entirely AI-based, supported by reproducible calculation checks. Sponsorship, paid placement, magazine coverage and LEGA affiliation earn no points. Known paid placements are excluded. Rank-only data cannot establish download manipulation or certify the publishers’ raw activity; unresolved evidence stays flagged.
Candidate eligibility
The candidate pool contains 345 source entries, previously reconciled into 290 candidates; 15 are cleared under the emerging-artist criteria. Require a documented debut, developing solo project or contemporary emerging designation. Established principal or featured artists are excluded; unresolved eligibility is held out. Production, session and backing-vocal credits alone are not featured billing. Different songs by one artist may rank.
Each source (N − position + 1) / N
EE. UU. / U.S. 50 × NG + 50 × LU
International 50 × NG + 50 × SB
NG is the larger normalized Dura or Romántica contribution, counted once. N is the last published rank: Dura 110, Romántica 102, LU 125, SB 10. Romántica has 100 entries and gaps at 80 and 89; original ranks are preserved. Ties use the unrounded index, best contributing source rank, then normalized title and artist alphabetically.
“Not listed” means absent from a complete, accessible, in-period chart and contributes zero evidence points. “Data unavailable” means the evidence could not be checked; it is not classified as an absence. No per-song weight redistribution is allowed, and incomplete source access keeps the edition provisional. Zero evidence points do not mean zero airplay.
An editorial index of published chart positions, compiled and checked by AI. It does not measure national audience, sales, streams or musical quality. The automatic music-quality rating system remains paused. Record pools and regional directories below currently contribute no points.

AI checks completed and unresolved evidence
Checked source row counts and rank ranges across 345 entries, and matched titles, artists and ranks for all 15 eligible candidates. Recalculation preserves every published score and position. Three repeated title/artist rows in Dura were flagged; none belongs to a ranked eligible candidate. Romántica’s two rank gaps are preserved.
Still unverified: exact recording versions, compatible activity windows, source calculations, reporting-panel overlap and underlying activity integrity. Passing AI consistency checks does not resolve those evidence gaps.
Added AI-only checks, publisher counts, asterisks and labels for provisional positions, source measures and period limits, recording-version checks and per-position score breakdowns. Existing scores and order unchanged. This policy was adopted after the original October calculation; it is not presented as a pre-announced rule for that calculation.
Includes source links and input hashes, every ranked score breakdown, all 15 eligible candidates, unresolved checks and the policy version.
